By Faith, Walking in Agreement

"CAN TWO WALK, UNLESS THEY BE AGREED?"

- Amos 3:3

Here is the question I would like to pose to you. Can two walk together and not be in agreement? The answer is No. Two cannot walk together unless they are in agreement or with certainty there will be strife. There will be division. This was the question the Lord asked Israel in Amos. This is a question that must be addressed today. This scripture can be referenced to walking in agreement with other people or it can be referenced to our agreeing (giving up of our will) and walking in obedience with the word of God. Whether it be a person or the word unless we agree we cannot come together and in the times that we are living in today we need agreement between us as a people of God and agreement or oneness with our God. If we get agreement and walk as the word says we will then be in agreement with God, the word and by default be in agreement with one another, that is those who are called by his name. We do not strive to be in agreement with those who are contrary to the word of God. You love them, pray for them and encourage them but agree you don’t. We must remember that as a torch or light carrier, we cannot take hold of darkness. What is not light is darkness. Our agreement with the word has set us flame and has positioned us to be the light in this world. There is no compromising. There is no partnering with the things of this world. We must see everything as it is through the word of God. Walking in the character of Christ allows us to see clearly but not only see clearly and hear clearly but do this in love. Love draws. Love makes a difference and we, as Christ did, should let love, charity lead us.

Walking in agreement as a people is vital for the body of Christ and to be the body of Christ, we must walk in the one mind, that is Christs’. We are the body of Christ and he is the head and the body cannot walk unless the head and body are one, complete. The head leading, guiding and yielding to its members what it should do and how it should feel and how it should think and believe. The head is the helm, it is what propels the body and put it in motion. All movements and actions begin in the mind first then the body reacts. I know we have heard people say, I did that without even thinking, but is this even possible? The bible says, whatsoever a man thinketh so is he. It has to begin with the mind and then the body responds. This is why we read in the word of God, let this mind that was in Christ Jesus be also in you. His mind. We seek his mind so we can walk in agreement with HIM, our Lord and our KING. Jesus came bringing a kingdom. In this kingdom HE has dominion over all things. This includes us, why because we have yielded ourselves to him. We are his purchased possession. He purchased us out of death into eternal life. Paying that tall bill of salvation for US that we, as man, was tricked out of in the beginning. At the beginning the enemy came with trickery and tricked man out of his right standing with God, tricked him out of the glory he had with the Father but thanks be to God, who did not leave us but redeemed us, reconciled us back to himself because of the LOVE that he had for us. This is why he is calling us. Back to where we fell. Back in oneness with him. Him leading us, being the head and we lining up being a part of him, that is HIS body. This is what the LORD is building up. HE is now building up his body of believers. He is building up a people who will be powerful and mighty and all this will be through Christ Jesus who is heading up the body as the HEAD of the body.

Let’s seek to walk in agreement with the word of God for if we do, we will naturally walk in agreement with one another.. Walking in agreement, that is in obedience with God, is man’s life’s goal. Let’s seek him wholeheartedly, knowing that the Lord knows our hearts and desires. For if we desire righteousness, he will be our righteousness. If you hunger and thirst after HIM, he will fill us with himself. Did not the word say, he would withhold no good thing from us? Holiness, righteousness and sanctification has fallen by the wayside and has been traded out for wealth and prosperity. It is no longer taught and more importantly lived so that others might see and learn of it and follow. The people today are learning and pattern themselves after what they see but what they see is not of God. It’s of flesh. There is very little difference between Hollywood and the MEGA churches that stand before the people today. These have gone by the way of the world and have become that broad way leading millions down a crowded path that leads to death, hell. God is calling for those who will be led by him, line up under HIM, the HEAD, and be obedient. He is asking. Who will dare line up and drink of the eternal water of LIFE? Who will dare be the example that Christ is calling for? Who will dare walk after the scripture in Romans 12? Who is hearing his voice? It’s time to have ears to hear what the spirit is saying to the church. He is speaking loudly and giving instructions but so few hear them and even less are following them.

** "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." - Romans 12:1-3 (KJV)

Oneness. When I speak of Oneness, I am speaking of Christ that lives in us and lives through us, our flesh being no longer alive but crucified even as Christ was crucified. The word told us to take up our cross and follow him. Has our flesh been nailed to the crossed and as the curseth thing that it is? Yes, the flesh was cursed. The flesh fell from grace. Death was now the reward of the flesh by the choice of man. Why do we rather walk in the curseth flesh rather than nail that thing to the cross, pick up our cross and follow Christ. Doing this and knowing that at the end of this walk here on this natural flesh we LIVE eternal. This is a whole new topic and I will not get into this here and now. But to continue we must be crucified as Christ was and kill this flesh daily. This death is a daily walk that we must do. Take up our cross, die, follow him, follow the word of God. God is calling for a people who will take Romans 12 seriously. There is a reasonable service God is calling us to. A reasonable service. What is the meaning of reasonable? It is not extreme or excessive but moderate, fair. God is only asking from us what is fair. What is within reason.

The times that we are living in are troublesome times and they will only become more troublesome as we get closer to the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. These times were echoed throughout the word by many prophets and Jesus, himself, preparing us to be aware of and look for but not be anxious or fearful. Why? Because the Lord our God is our keeper and our strength. We know the secret place that David spoke of in Psalms 91. We know where that is and that is in Christ where nothing in no wise can harm us, if we believe and walk in him. I find myself talking to God and praying more than ever before today manifesting that secret place that God has placed me in. It’s a place of communion and relationship with my Father and your Father. Here we address and face the questions; Am I prepared? Do I trust him like I am supposed? Do I believe like I need to? Is my relationship with the Lord as strong as I hope that it is or it is where it needs to be? And as we ask ourselves these questions, to reassure us, a test comes, a trial comes and shaking comes just to show us how sure of a foundation we are standing on is? If your foundation you are standing on is really Christ, it will not be shaken. That, that is coming, is going to shake all that can be shaken and what cannot be shaken will be left standing. If you are feeling the rain and the winds and hearing the roaring and shakening and find yourself fearful then more prayer, more reading and more dedication is needed. Why? If Christ be for us and is in us, we don’t fear, we are not shaken we stand. We stand strong. We stand for truth despite our opposition. We hold to our faith despite our trying. Why because that Rock is sitting in US making us sure and unmovable. We simply have to believe and KNOW he is there despite the battle. Despite our opponent. Whether the opponent be sickness, friendlessness, loneliness, no matter the opposition we stand in faith believing. Walking in agreement with our Father. Agreeing with the word by faith. Agreeing so that we began to believe and know that faith IS just what we have need of from God for that moment and in other moments that we ask of him. Faith Is. Faith is not maybe, or possibly or could be or an even should be but FAITH Is.

Our walk in agreement must be sure and know that Faith IS. Hebrews 11 was, I believe, was my grandmother’s favorite chapter in the bible. It was one chapter I remember reading to her countless times. As a child I didn’t quite understand what I was reading but as I grew older and kept on reading that chapter to my grandmother an understanding began to build itself up in me about faith. Faith being the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, for by it the elders obtained a good report. Faith, you can’t feel it, you can’t see it you simply have to know it. I can’t go over here and point to something and tell you, this is faith but I can go over there and point to something and say this is because of faith. The word says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The word also says, to build up your most holy faith by praying in the holy ghost. We know, because the word tells us that faith moves God and having it mountains can be moved out of our lives. Mountains in our lives are just obstacles and troubles that we deal with in our daily walk. An example, Goliath was a mountain that stood before Israel, then before David. David took the faith he had in God and he slew that giant. Faith is powerful and the word has given us instruction on how to build it up in us, we just have to take the initiative and do what the word has instructed us to do. Every man has a measure of faith. A measure. And Faith only the size of a mustard seed is needed to move the mountains in our lives and yet instruction was given to us to have the ability to build it up even more. Are we following the instructions of the word of God, of man’s manual for success in not only in the spirit but in the natural as well? He wants us to prosper and be in health even as our soul does prosper, but God’s prosper and man’s prosper are not the same. Let’s take hold of the word of God and find ourselves in it. If it is ever a time to be a doer of the word and not a hearer only this is that time.

Let’s seek the mind of Christ and line up, that is, if we desire to be in the body of Christ. The body is coming together. It is our choice to walk in alignment and seek his mind and will to be done in our lives after seeking him, hear him and do, and walk in the obedience of God.

God keep you and be gracious to you. I pray that an alignment, if it has not already, begins to take hold of your life. The trumpet has been sounded. The call has come forth. His children are coming. Are you one? If so, line up under the HEAD, that is Christ Jesus our LORD.
